Celebrating Our Law Firm’s Twentieth Anniversary

We are pleased to announce an important milestone in our law firm’s history – the twentieth anniversary of its founding, on July 15, 2004.

Kimberly L. King formed the firm in 2004 after 18 years in private practice and public service. Kim leads our estate planning, trust law, and business law practices. Edward W. Wood joined the firm upon his graduation from law school in 2005. Ed leads our real estate and probate practices. Elizabeth J. Maykut joined us in 2010. Beth is Board Certified in Elder Law and leads our Medicaid, dementia planning, and guardianship practices. Annalise R. Kapusta joined the firm upon her graduation from law school in 2019. Robert (“Bobby”) B. Celander joined the firm upon his graduation from law school in 2021. Collectively, our lawyers have nearly 95 years of law practice experience.

All our work rests on a culture of excellence and professionalism, which has earned us the respect of our peers. Kim King and Beth Maykut hold Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings of “AV Preeminent” (Martindale’s highest rating).

We use a team approach in serving our clients, and our nonlawyer professional staff form an integral part of each team.

Kathy Arrant, our Law Firm Administrator and Elder Law Coordinator, joined us in 2014. The law firm of King & Wood, P.A. serves clients throughout North Florida and South Georgia from offices located in Tallahassee, Florida’s capital. The firm’s lawyers and staff, and their families, have long and close connections to this geographic area. All five of our lawyers graduated from the FSU College of Law. Several of our staff members studied at FSU, FAMU, or TCC as undergraduates.
